Public Safety Class A Dress Uniforms
Serving public safey agencies and departments acrossVia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Eastern Tennessee we're extremely proud to be a recognized leader in uniforms. We know what's needed because our company owners have been ingrained in public safety for 20+ years; both as a first responder and as a uniform supplier.
We are vey familiar with the hectic schedule and unpredictable nature of the Fire / EMS service. At FRT, we make it easy for you to choose the items that will best suit your needs.
We will even come to you for fittings with a full size run of men's and women's pants, coats, shirts, belts, ties, etc. (Evening, night, & weekend appointments available–please contact us for availability.) We also have a size run in store with a sizing area and fitting rooms to try on your uniform before purchasing.
We carry several brands of Class A & B Fire / EMS Dress Uniforms as well as Class A LEO / Sheriff / Police Dress Uniforms in single and double breasted, polyester or wool, and domestic or imported.
Although we do offer in stock blank uniforms we usually have a lead time of around 4 to 6 weeks (it is best to call and schedule a consultation for a current realistic time frame as there are many many factors that can affect delivery time) weeks for a full department order of class A uniforms to include badges, patches sewn on, alterations, etc. We do offer RUSH uniform services and have outfitted entire departments in less than a week when needed (additional rush order fees may apply*)
Our Scope Of Brands

General Information
We provide service and support to each department that is ordering Honor Guard or Dress Uniforms. As you work through the following steps, feel free to send us an e-mail or call us with any questions you have. If you are seeking a uniform not listed as a stock option please contact us by telephone or email.
Choose Coat Style and Color
Our selection of Dress Uniform Coats are created from four basic coat styles:
-
Single-Breasted
-
Double-Breasted
-
Four-Button
-
Custom Honor Guard & High-Collar
Different parts of the country tend to favor different looks in their Class A Dress Uniform. On the East Coast, Navy Blue is the predominant color (for fire departments) with about half using a single breasted jacket and half using a double breasted model along with a light blue dress shirt for firefighters and white dress shirts for officers.
Choose Coat Options
Stock coat options generally consist primarily of Epaulettes, Sleeve Braid / Rank Stripes, Years of Service Markings, Badge Tabs, Fabric, Color, and Buttons.
Choose Trousers / Skirt
Once you have selected your coat style, deciding on trousers should be fairly straightforward. Some departments opt for the premium stretch waist band. Typically most organizations go with the same trouser (matching fabric color, material, and weave) to match their coat selection, though we can do custom fabrics and colors if desired.

Choose Alteration and Fitting Options
We are very concerned with how your uniforms fit. The most common method is to fit you with a sizing set. We can take measurements but it is usually best to try on the apparel to find the best fitting and most comfortable size. We can also take additional measurements or pin the apparel for additional tailoring (additional cost**).
We can send one of our staff to fit your department. Typically our staff will need at least a few days or even a few weeks of advanced notice to schedule a date that works for both parties.
Fire Rescue And Tactical has an experienced group of tailors and offers in-house alterations at an additional charge. Using us for alterations will typically extend our delivery time a few weeks. Most dress pants come unhemmed and will require hemming. We can have the uniforms altered by the manufacturers but this usually adds several weeks to the delivery time.

Get Fitted / Submit Sizes & Measurements
Once we have determined what brand and style uniforms you wish to go with we can get you fitted and sized so we can place the order. We can use customer provided measurements but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND allowing a trained staff member measure and fit you for a Class A Uniform. To measure yourself reference our most common measuring & sizing guides here or contact us here to schedule a fitting in store or at your department.
Issue Purchase Order
There can be a fair amount of dialog needed when initially placing the order; which is a part of the service Fire Rescue & Tactical provides to our customers to ensure your order is correct the first time. When everything is decided, your agency can submit a Purchase Order for the uniforms via email to orders.frt@gmail.com , by standard mail, or by faxing it to (540) 251-0340. Your Order is Filled
We will ship orders containing stock items immediately after we receive your purchase order. Otherwise, delivery time depends on how customized your order is. Custom colors and cloths can take as much as twelve weeks for delivery.
